After a quiet two games to start the game for mut coins both teams, the Rams started scoring in a controversial manner. In a third-and-12 scenario at to the Cincinnati 34-yard line, Matthew Stafford uncorked a deep ball to Van Jefferson on the left side of the end zone.
The officials initially ruled that Jefferson was out of bounds, however a challenge from Sean McVay led to a reverse and the Rams winning 7-0. In all transparency the game didn't appear to be a success. Jefferson had two feet in bounds, however the virtual officials ruled otherwise on an examination (Maybe the video games are more real! ).
The Bengals were able to respond to that touchdown drive of the Rams by scoring their own. Joe Burrow completed a pass to Tee Higgins to tie the game at seven however, L.A. quickly matched that score with a drive across the field, and Odell Beckham Jr. scoring a touchdown of 7 yards passing making it 14-7.
At this point in the game that the Bengals began to be left behind. The Cincinnati offense took over the field after the Beckham touchdown and ended up in a third-and-9 position at their 24-yard line. After advancing to his right side, Burrow was tackled with Leonard Floyd and the football was released. Aaron Donald scooped it up and was able to slam into the end zone for a touchdown to make the Rams ahead 21-7. In the second quarter quarterback Cam Akers would cap off another scoring game to L.A. that would extend their lead to three points.
The Bengals showed some grit in the opening half in the midst of the scoring blitz by the Rams. They managed to get into the end zone with only 50 seconds remaining before halftime, bringing the deficit to 14 points after Burrow was able to buy Madden 22 coins connect with Tyler Boyd.
