Also, even though the legendary items you received were not a problem yet, you could occasionally receive a slight dose of dopamine in order to keep you on the hook.

If Diablo 2 Resurrected gets that right and has a similar loot system like Loot2.0 from Diablo 3, then we're already worried about just how long we'll be able to sink into the game. The disaster in Diablo 3 is the best thing that could have happened to the franchise on an ongoing basis. And when you add it with Immortal's Immortal controversy, it's like Blizzard has a simple strategy for avoiding potholes to keep it at the top of the list of it's biggest fans.

The community is extremely vocal about what it doesn't like and has been all through the entire life of Diablo 3, so we're hoping Blizzard is taking this feedback from players lucky enough to play large parts of the game in the pre-release phase. But we'd also bet Blizzard isn't a fan of the massive leaks of footage that has been surfacing following one of these tests.

A key element in Diablo 3 that is confirmed to return is the limited-time Seasons. They are basically post-game pieces of content that change the way legendary items work and remix the contents of the base game which adds replayability to a game that's already extremely replayable. Seasons were available in significant amounts times in Diablo 3, so we're hopeful that they'll become majorly featured in Diablo 2 Resurrected.

That seasonal approach can also set Diablo 2 Resurrected up to be another compelling Game Pass game, should the merger eventually close. A game like Diablo with solid gameplay is perfect for a service that allows players who want to play Live games in a few months. But, with the game set to launch in June, and the fight over Activision's future Activision remains in the midst, this is one title which is unlikely to receive its Game Pass treatment on day one, unless something major is changed.

If we had a bet, we'd bet that one of the goals in Diablo 2 Resurrected.4 is, when Diablo 2 Resurrected finally comes out gamers in the community that were outraged and rightly so about Diablo 2 Resurrected relax and consider "oh yes, that's Diablo."
